In a written order for the Islamabad Accountability Court-I proceedings on July 26, Judge Muhammad Ali Warraich noted that the case was called at 10:40 a.m. that day, and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witnesses were present in the courtroom inside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. However, no one came up on behalf of the PTI founder.

The case was postponed till 11:00 a.m. When the case was summoned again at 11:15 a.m., Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were brought in. Advocate Khalid Yousaf, a young lawyer on Imran’s legal team, arrived and notified the court that senior lawyers were on their way.

According to the judgment, Imran and Bushra’s attorneys will have a final opportunity to cross-examine the witnesses on July 30. Prosecution witnesses Umair Ahmed and Mian Umar Nadeem are required to record their testimony.
