The tragedy occurred in the Old Bazid Khel neighborhood of Dara Adam Khel, as heavy rain continued to pour over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Rescue 1122 personnel said that the family were trapped in Amjad’s basement as rains overwhelmed the region.

Emergency crews acted quickly, retrieving 11 dead and originally hunting for a missing girl, who was subsequently located.

Faisal Karim, the Governor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, expressed his heartfelt grief over the unfortunate loss of lives.

Continuous heavy rains in Peshawar, Swabi, and nearby districts have resulted in serious floods, submerging highways and low-lying areas.

In Swabi, torrential rain destroyed crops like as tobacco and maize, as well as disrupting electrical supplies due to multiple feeders tripping.

Furthermore, the roof of a cattle stable in Kotha village fell, trapping two bulls, who were subsequently rescued by emergency personnel.

A day earlier, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) announced that all rivers and streams in Punjab were flowing normally despite the continuous monsoon rains.

According to the PDMA spokeswoman, water flow in dams and barrages is likewise consistent. The present water level at Mangla Dam is 58%, whereas Tarbela Dam is at 69%. Indian dams on the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers have water levels of up to 39%.

The monsoon rainfall pattern is likely to last until July 31. The PDMA has expected heavier monsoon rainfall in most Punjab districts during the next 24 hours.
