Pakistan successfully conducts test of ballistic missile Shaheen-II

Pakistan conducted on Tuesday the successful training launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Shaheen-II.

According to Radio Pakistan, the training launch sought to teach personnel, validate numerous technological parameters, and evaluate the operation of various subsystems included for greater accuracy and survivability.

The unveiling was seen by senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division of the Army Strategic Forces Command, as well as scientists and engineers from strategic companies.

The Director General Strategic Plans Division praised the technical expertise, devotion, and commitment of scientists who contributed to this historic achievement, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In May of this year, the Pakistan Army successfully tested the Fatah-II Guided Rocket System, which has a 400-kilometre range.

ISPR stated that the launch was intended to refine the launch exercises and procedures.

“Equipped with state-of-the-art navigation system, unique trajectory and manoeuvrable features, Fatah-II is capable of engaging targets with high precision and defeating any missile defence system,” according to the announcement.
