Billie Eilish Becomes the 3rd and Youngest Artist to Reach 100M Monthly Spotify Listeners

A new record has been set by Billie Eilish!

Spotify confirmed to Billboard on Saturday that the Grammy and Oscar winner had surpassed 100 million monthly listeners, making her just the third artist to do so. With just 82 songs in her repertoire, she accomplished this.

Eilish’s monthly listener count is 107 million for The Weeknd and 102 million for Taylor Swift. Nevertheless, compared to the “Lunch” singer, both artists have more than twice as many tracks on Spotify.

With this latest achievement, 22-year-old Eilish becomes the youngest artist to ever surpass the 100 million monthly listeners mark.

“Spotify has always played a role in Billie’s narrative. Since “Ocean Eyes,” she has consistently expanded her global fan base, according to Jeremy Erlich, Spotify’s global president of music, who spoke with the site. “What she has accomplished since 2016 with [brother-collaborator] Finneas is pretty amazing… and she is only 22 years old.”

Eight songs, including “Lovely” featuring Khalid (2.8 million streams), “Bad Guy” (2.5 million), “When the Party’s Over” (1.8 million), “Everything I Wanted” (1.6 million), “Ocean Eyes” (1.4 million), “Happier Than Ever” (1.3 million), “Idontwannabeyouanymore” (1.09 million), and “Bury a Friend” (1.01 million), are currently available in the music platform’s Billions Club.

Hit Me Hard and Soft, Eilish’s third studio album, was released last month and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 list. The album’s ten tracks all made their debut in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.

She also created history earlier this year when she won the best original song Oscar for Barbie’s “What Was I Made For?”, making her the youngest two-time winner of the award.
