Foreign Secretary to Represent Pakistan at the 50th Session of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Yaoundé, Cameroon

Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi will lead the Pakistan delegation to the 50th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), which will be held in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on August 29 to 30, 2024.

At the CFM, the Foreign Secretary will discuss Pakistan’s position on the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the catastrophic humanitarian situation there; Israel’s adventurism in the area, which threatens Middle Eastern peace; and the people of Jammu and Kashmir’s right to self-determination. He will also emphasize the importance of Ummah solidarity and togetherness; increasing Islamophobia and xenophobia in many regions of the world; and topics like as climate change, terrorism, and other current global difficulties.

On the sidelines, the Foreign Secretary will conduct bilateral meetings with colleagues from participating OIC member nations.
