Gold prices drop by Rs1,400 per tola, silver rates inch up

Gold price per tola drops by Rs1,400 to Rs241,500; international price falls $43; silver rates rise by Rs100 per tola

The per tola price of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs1,400, selling at Rs241,500 on Saturday compared to Rs242,900 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Following a reduction of Rs1,201, the 10-gram Gold was sold for Rs207,047.

After falling $43 over the day, the price of gold was fixed at $2,320 per ounce on the international market.

In the meantime, the price of silver jumped by Rs100 per tola, to Rs2,850. Ten kilos of silver cost Rs2,443.41, an increase of Rs85.76.

In Pakistan, the price of a tola of gold increased by Rs1,600 on Friday, reaching Rs242,900.
