The PDMA issues a rain and thunderstorm warning for Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, and Galiyat.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has forecast monsoon rains in most districts of the province. It says there is a significant possibility of these rains continuing across the province until July 7.
A PDMA representative stated that although the water flow in the Punjabi rivers was normal, a medium-to-high-level alert had been issued for the Chenab River near Marala.
Due to the need for vigilance, as directed by PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia, all pertinent institutions must take all necessary precautions and preventative measures.
Further information from the PDMA spokesman indicates that significant rain is possible in Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Mandi Bahauddin.

As a result of the potential for rain and thunderstorms, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, and the Galiyat are especially vulnerable.
In order to protect safety and reduce possible damage, the PDMA highlights the need of responsible authorities being vigilant and prepared throughout this rainy season.
Thanks to the refreshing sea wind, Karachi’s gloomy skies have provided a much-needed break from the scorching summer heat. The monsoon rains, which the Met Department says will arrive shortly, are much anticipated by the locals.

According to the department, the sky is now mostly cloudy and the weather has changed. The highest temperature for today is still predicted to be 37 degrees Celsius despite this adjustment.

The humidity level in Karachi right now is a high of 70%, which adds to the predicted 24 hours of heat and humidity.
There will be good news soon, though. Rainfall is expected to begin on July 8 in Karachi, a port city, according to the Met Department. With the possibility of a drop in temperature, these showers are expected to greatly improve the weather.
