Mid-autumn is one of China’s most beloved festivals, when families gather under the full moon to burn lanterns that symbolize the route to success for the remainder of the year. The Mid-Autumn Festival occurs on the fifth day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, when the moon is at its fullest. This year’s festival will begin on September 17.

In Chinese tradition, the Mid-Autumn festival usually represents reunification. The trademark customs of this event include large feasts on circular tables and appreciating the full moon, since a round form represents completion and reunion.

Theme videos, performances, and other content showcasing the Chinese nation’s celebration for this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival will be displayed and published on Cultural Counsellor and Director China Cultural Centre in Pakistan Zhang Heqing’s Twitter, the Cultural Center’s Official WeChat Channel, and the China Cultural Centre in Pakistan’s Official Facebook Page.
