Some party members are campaigning for Aamir Dogar to be appointed as the new PAC chairman, rather than Akram.
The final decision is expected soon, with the PAC chairman election slated for September 15th.

The PTI is carefully considering its possibilities, since the selection of a candidate for this key position is viewed as critical in the present political scene.
Previously, the PAC chairman post was a subject of conflict within the PTI, notably after Sher Afzal Marwat, who was first appointed by the party, openly criticized the leadership.
This resulted in his suspension on July 12, as directed by party founder Imran Khan.
