Punjab boards announce class 9 exam results

The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has officially announced the results for the Class 9th examinations. A total of 287,000 candidates participated in the exams this year, marking a significant turnout of students.

According to Zahid Mian, the Lahore board’s test controller, almost 127,000 pupils completed the exams. However, 159,000 pupils failed to pass the tests, indicating a difficult year for many.

The total success percentage for this year’s Class IX tests is 44%, a 6% decline from previous year’s results. Zahid Mian observed the reduction in achievement, underlining the importance of students focusing more on their academics to better future outcomes.

Multan

Similarly, the Multan board has revealed the results of the Class 9th annual test. The statistics suggest that educational institutions performed poorly, with a pass percentage of 49.48%.

According to the findings, 139,786 applicants took the annual matriculation examinations for Class 9th, and 69,169 were certified pass.

Faisalabad

The Faisalabad Education Board has also officially revealed the results of the Class 9th examinations, which show a disturbing trend in which more than half of the pupils failed to pass. With 194,249 students taking the tests, the success percentage was recorded as 48.05%, suggesting that more over half of the students did not pass.

According to the controller of tests, 93,340 pupils passed. This year’s results have alarmed educational circles and parents alike, who are concerned about the poor performance.

The low pass percentage has sparked concerns about the region’s present education system, with many urging for quick action to solve pupils’ academic issues.

Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has officially issued the results of the Class 9th annual exams 2024. The total success rate for the tests is 45.84%, with 125,715 students taking part.

56,749 pupils passed the tests, while 67,034 failed. The gender breakdown among the applicants shows that 61,289 were men and 62,501 were women.

Male students achieved a success percentage of 34.63%, while female students achieved a significantly higher rate of 56.84%. Additionally, 1,622 applicants were reported missing from the exam.
