US, Russia trade accusations over weaponising space

WASHINGTON: Russia has launched a likely space weapon and deployed it in the same orbit as a US government satellite, the Pentagon said.

“Russia sent off a satellite into low Earth circle that we survey is possible a counter-space weapon probably equipped for going after different satellites in low Earth circle,” Pentagon representative Flying corps Significant General Pat Ryder told a press preparation on Tuesday.
